Merrisa Rose Dolin

Merrisa feels that her dharma (true calling) is to be a leader and teacher to others. She lives her life by the motto “shine more light, share more love” and is passionate about helping others embrace this concept within their own lives. She feels that this world is sweetest when you walk through it feeling confident, happy, healthy, and inspired.

Merrisa was raised in the rural foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where she cultivated a deep love for nature. In 2012 she received a Bachelor’s Degree in “Outdoor Recreation, Tourism & Event Planning” from Humboldt State University.

After several years working in Recreation Administration, Sales, Marketing, and Event Planning Merrisa discovered yoga. She completed her first 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 at the Yoga Centre in San Luis Obispo with Megan Whitney. She then went on to manage several YogaWorks studios in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she earned another 200 hours of training with Nikki Estrada and Hillary Skibell. In 2018 Merrisa completed an advanced 300-hour teacher training under the guidance of Michele Klink. She currently holds a certificate as an RYT-500 and leads regular classes in Marin & Sonoma County.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Merrisa says that yoga is one of her greatest passions and sharing the practice with others is an incredible blessing. Her classes incorporate a sense of humor, mindful alignment, freedom to flow, and deep awareness of the breath. She encourages students to find a playful dance between effort and ease — inspiring you to work hard while still giving you space to listen to your unique body.

When she isn’t teaching yoga, you can find Merrisa hiking, traveling, spending time on the water, or inventing new recipes. She currently holds a role as the Operations & Sales Director for International Yoga, planning yoga adventures around the globe!
